Shane K.: When you were growing up, did you do your homework on time?
James: No, my sister ate it.
Jason: I pretty much did my home work until I got really interested in music and then everything else kinda didn't get done on time or otherwise. I don't recommend u follow those steps.
Kirk: I'm still growing up and I'm still waiting 'til the last minute to do my homework...
Lars: Define 'on time'...I always did it for what I consider 'on time'

Jerry M." Lars, my shins begin to cramp up while I drum, what can I do to stop that?
Lars: Stop drumming (editor now asks if there's a serious answer for this poor, beleaguered, crippled young drummer...Lars agrees on condition of first answer standing) It sounds like to me you could be suffering from shin-splints, you should consult your physician.

Brandon M.: James, how do you memorize the lyrics for all of your songs because it seems like music artists can go through a concert and sing a number of songs without ever looking at them?
James: They're written down on cheat sheets...when you've sung songs for 20 years it's hard to get them out of my head. I'll try to forget them but they won't go away...please make the voices go away!

Bryan A.: Jason, what are your favorite sports?
Jason: I like swallowing BB pellets, sniffing bicycle seats and stealing underwear off suburban clotheslines and running very fast. Also I cannot forget rattlesnake tickling...when they shake their tail it's their laughter. Don't piss them off though.

Katie: What do all of you think of Britney Spears and Staind?
James: I don't know but I'd like to leave a stain on Britney Spears
Lars: I think they have a right to exist.

Kirk's Kulture Korner
1. “Kid A” from Radiohead is the best thing I’ve heard in a lllooooooong time! 2. “Faith and Courage” from Sinead O’Conner is an amazing album! I never was a fan until I heard this album! 3. “Echobrain” is a great album from a great friend of mine. I am soooo proud of Jekkerz!! 4. “Smithsonian” magazine sounds like a boring rag to read...

Rick W.: What made you decide to stop printing the lyrics in the CD jacket?
James: Writers block or eye kant spel.
Kirk: More room for pictures
Jason: More room for pix of me and Kirk, and of me balancing Kirk's $10,000 strat w/ my pinkie...
Kirk: We fought for an hour about that afterwards because I was so pissed off. I still get mad when I see that pic...
Lars: Obviousness.

Alex L.: With so many people who worship the ground Metallica walks on, how does it affect you? Do you sometimes find yourselves becoming arrogant?
Jason: It affects me in weird ways, sometimes it's just unavoidable-human is human. I feel that I have a good handle on my 'low-keyness' now.
James: No, and how DARE you bother The Mighty Hetfield with that meaningless little comment, you peen.

Dan L.: Jason, in SO WHAT! vol 2, issue 2 on page 35, the picture of you in the studio you sorta look like Jules (Samuel Jackson) from "Pulp Fiction" What's up with the fuckin' hair?
Jason: The hair does whatever it wants to, dig it Dan.

Dan W.: Lars, why do you tape up your fingers to play? I noticed in one of your videos you guys were putting something on (maybe oil). What is it and what purpose does it serve? Jaymz when and why did you switch from the Gibson to the ESP Explorer? Do you guys have an extensive collection of bootlegs (or shows you wanted recorded) from your shows? Are there any shows you wish you had?
James: I like the Explorer shape but some things I didn't like. ESP can custom make them with different woods, fret boards, inlays, etc. the way I want them. Lars oils up to slip into his spandex. I wish I had some more Misfits footage.
Lars: I don't do that anymore because of the Easton sticks I am using now. But I used to, 'cuz of the green gauze tape I used to wrap my sticks in was very rough and gave me blisters. I have a fairly big collection, certainly not everything out there. Cool fans/friends keep me up to date with what is out there. There are certainly other bands' bootlegs I'd like to have.
